Realme C55 Details and Features Review
The Realme C35 stands out as an exceptional budget camera phone in early-2022. Equipped with a remarkable 50-megapixel main camera, this device captures stunning photos whether it’s day or night. Not only does it excel in the camera department, but it also impresses with its software and performance capabilities. While some may perceive the design and display as lacking, it’s important to bear in mind the affordable price tag of this device. If you want to know more details, continue this article.
Design
Realme has gone the extra mile in terms of design with the C55. It boasts a sleek and modern appearance with its straight lines, well-defined body, and flat sides. The front features a flat display, adopting the hole-punch design for a more contemporary look. While the bezels on the left, top, and right sides are slim, the bottom bezel is slightly thicker.
Weighing in at 189g, the phone is slightly heavier but still feels slim at 7. 9mm. It lacks an IP rating and stereo speakers, but it does offer a 3. mm headphone jack and a Type-C USB port at the bottom. The fingerprint reader is integrated into the power button, although it may be a bit challenging to press since it sits almost flush with the flat side of the frame.
Specifications and Software
The Realme C55 features a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, meaning it does not support 5G connectivity. Realme states that the phone utilizes LPDDR4X RAM and EMMC 5. storage. The SIM tray accommodates two nano-SIMs and has a separate slot for a microSD card of up to 1TB.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5. , as well as various sensors and GPS. The phone is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and includes a 33W wired charger in the package.
Running on Realme UI 4.0 , which is based on Android 13, the Realme C55 comes preloaded with numerous Realme and third-party apps. Consequently, users will find duplicate apps for messaging, file management, note-taking, and more.
Cameras
The Realme C55 features two rear-facing cameras: a 64-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for Portrait mode. Selfies are captured with an 8-megapixel front camera. The camera app interface is user-friendly, with essential controls easily accessible. The 64-megapixel sensor is sourced from the older GT Master Edition, which sparked my interest in its performance on a budget-friendly phone.
Video quality is limited to 1080p at 60fps. While the recorded footage displays decent detail, the dynamic range is lacking, and there are instances of clipped highlights. Unfortunately, there is no stabilization, resulting in shaky videos. In low light conditions, recording at 1080p 30fps yields better quality with decent dynamic range, but the videos still lack detail and exhibit noise. The clips remain shaky, and focusing becomes problematic.
Performance
The Realme C55 features a 6.72-inch full-HD+ IPS LCD display with a maximum screen refresh rate of 90Hz. It automatically switches between 60Hz and 90Hz depending on the application and content. The display is vibrant, bright enough for outdoor viewing, and offers good viewing angles. It also has Widevine L1 certification for full-HD quality streaming.
In terms of performance, the Realme C55, equipped with a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC and 6GB RAM, 128GB ROM, performs as expected. It scored 2,57,736 points in AnTuTu benchmark and 422 and 1,411 points in Geekbench’s single and multi-core tests.
During daily usage, which included gaming, video streaming, social media, and constant email syncing, the phone lasted a day on a single charge, which was a bit surprising considering its 5,000mAh battery. Most budget smartphones today can last longer. In our standard HD video loop battery test, it lasted 14 hours and 43 minutes, which is shorter compared to other smartphones in this price range. However, the 33W charger managed to fully charge the phone in just 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Realme C55 Price in Bangladesh
The Realme C55 comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, priced at TK 19,999. It is the first C-series model with 6GB RAM. The device comes in Sunshower or Rainy Night finishes.
